Go With The Flow Plumbing is a licensed, family-owned plumbing company in Vancouver, WA, serving Clark County. When they came to us in May 2026, reputation was not the problem: the Google Business Profile already had 255 reviews and a 4.9 rating. The problem was everything around the reviews.

An early, honest case study
This covers the first four months of an ongoing campaign. We are publishing it early on purpose: it shows what local SEO looks like before the big numbers arrive.

The service list on the profile covered a fraction of what the company actually does. A business with 255 five-star reviews was sitting below competitors with far fewer, because Google had too little structured information to match the profile to specific searches.

One rule for services
We only list a service after the owners confirm the company performs it. A few entries were rewritten or removed for that reason. A profile that promises work the crew does not do brings the wrong calls.
Citations
We submitted the business to the major data aggregators and built 50 directory listings by hand over four months, with the same name, address and phone number on each. Consistent listings are one of the main ways Google confirms that a local business is real and located where it says it is.
Website Content
The profile needs pages to point to. We wrote nine new service pages for gowiththeflowplumbing.com in three batches:
- Pipe leak repair
- Water heater installation and repair
- Drain cleaning
- Gas line repair
- Tankless water heater installation
- Water line replacement
- Toilet and fixture repair
- Garbage disposal
- Water filtration
We also set up a YouTube channel for the company as an additional local signal.

Ten of twelve keywords improved, one held and one slipped. The two broadest terms moved the most: “plumber Vancouver WA” from 8.7 to 3.4 and “emergency plumber Vancouver WA” from 6.3 to 3.3.

What Comes Next
Citations and profile completeness move first. Map rankings follow. Calls come last.
Four months in, the order of events is the usual one. Calls from the profile have held steady so far and have not yet followed the rankings up. That is the number we are watching now.
In progress to move calls
- Local Pack coverage is at 4 of 13 keywords. Positions 3 to 6 on the map need to become positions 1 to 3.
- The citation score is at 41/100, with 21 of 39 key directories still to cover.
- “Full house repiping” does not rank yet and needs its own page and profile content.
We will update this case study as the campaign continues.

In four months the citation score went from 11 to 41, the profile grew to more than 50 confirmed services, the website gained nine service pages, and map positions improved for ten of twelve tracked keywords. Local SEO rarely looks dramatic in month four. It is the stage where the groundwork is finished and the rankings start to move.
