JETPIPE PLUMBING
Google Business Profile & Local SEO
November 2025 – August 2026
JetPipe Plumbing is a licensed plumbing contractor in Sunnyvale, California, serving homes and businesses across the South Bay and Peninsula. A big part of its work is larger jobs: water heater replacements, tankless and heat pump installs, sewer and water line replacement, and whole-house repiping. Before booking a job like that, most homeowners open Google Maps, compare a few plumbers, read the reviews, and call one of them.
When we started in November 2025, the company already had a Google Business Profile, but it wasn’t bringing in many calls:
| Starting point, November 2025 | |
|---|---|
| Google reviews | 42 |
| Profile views in the first month | 375 |
| Calls from the profile in the first month | 6 |
| BrightLocal Key Citation Score | 15 / 100 |
| Key directories listing the business | 5 of 39 |
| Local Search Audit areas rated “Poor” | 3 of 6 |
WHAT WE DID
Google Business Profile — Focused on the Jobs the Company Wants More Of
We started with 11 core searches, a mix of repair and “near me” queries, and checked every one of them on the local search grid each month. In March we rebuilt the tracked set around installation and replacement work: water heater and tankless installation, sewer and water line replacement, full house repiping, and water softener installation. These are the jobs worth the most to the business, so the profile, posts, and content were tuned to them.
Services. We added 33 services over the campaign, from backflow prevention devices, seismic gas shutoff valves, grease trap installation, and cast iron pipe repair to slab leak detection, trenchless water line replacement, sewer line rerouting, and partial repipes. Each one gives Google another way to match the profile to a specific request.
Posts and photos. Ten new photos every month and 40 posts in total. Early posts answered common questions, like when to repair or replace a water heater and what a sewer camera shows about tree roots. From June the posts describe real jobs with the city and the scope of work: a 1960s ranch house in Sunnyvale repiped in copper in two days, a main sewer line replaced from the cleanout to the city connection, an 80-gallon hybrid heat pump water heater installed in place of a gas unit.
Job check-ins and video. From July, finished jobs are published as check-ins on the map with the city and the type of work. In July alone that was 18 jobs across San Jose, Sunnyvale, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Palo Alto, San Mateo, and Cupertino. We also launched a YouTube channel with short videos from real job sites. The water line replacement video has passed 1,700 views.
Reviews. We helped the company keep a steady flow of reviews from happy customers and set up automatic replies, so every review gets an answer. Google reviews grew from 42 to 192, all at 5.0. We also brought in 30 reviews on Facebook.
Citations and authority. Submissions to three data aggregators, more than 30 new listings on directories and publishing platforms with the same name, address, and phone number, and a press release about the company’s focus on aging Bay Area plumbing, from galvanized pipes to cast iron sewer lines under Eichler homes.
Educational content. 20 articles on community platforms that answer questions homeowners really ask: how to choose a plumber, how regular maintenance prevents water damage, how to keep drains from clogging, and what to know before a heat pump or water heater installation.
RESULTS
Calls From the Profile: From 6 to 23 a Month
Calls are the action that matters most for a plumber, and they grew steadily. In the first month the profile brought 6 calls. By August it brought 23, with a peak of 26 in July. Over the last three reports the profile averaged 22 calls a month, twice as many as in the first three. Website clicks from the profile grew from 26 to 39.
Direction requests went the other way, from 74 in November to 26 in August. For a plumber that drives to the customer, that matters less than calls and website visits, which are the actions that turn into booked jobs.
Local Search Grid: November 2025 → August 2026
The grid checks the profile’s map position from many points across the service area, so it shows how visible the business is to customers in different neighborhoods, not just from one spot.
In November only one tracked search averaged a map position better than 10. In August five did. “Plumber sunnyvale” moved from 10.5 to 6.2, “plumber near me” from 18.6 to 13.9, and “gas line repair near me” went from not showing on the grid at all to 13.7. Three of the new installation keywords are already in the top 10: water heater installation in Sunnyvale (8.6), water line replacement (8.7), and full house repiping (9.6).
Google Business Profile Performance
| Metric | Nov | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | Jun | Jul | Aug |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Profile views | 375 | 515 | 619 | 527 | 572 | 613 | 786 | 1,084 |
| Calls | 6 | 12 | 14 | 15 | 24 | 18 | 26 | 23 |
Each column is a 30-day reporting period; there was no separate report for May. Profile views grew almost three times, from 375 to 1,084 a month, and the biggest jump came in July and August, after the posts switched to real jobs and the check-ins and videos started going live.
Local Authority
The BrightLocal Key Citation Score went from 15 to 64 out of 100. The business is now listed in 25 key directories, up from 5, and 20 of them show the name, address, and phone number exactly right. In the Local Search Audit, Local Listings moved from “Poor” to “Good” and Rank Tracker from “Poor” to “OK.”
SUMMARY
In ten months, JetPipe Plumbing went from 6 to 23 calls a month from its Google Business Profile. Profile views almost tripled, Google reviews grew from 42 to 192 at a perfect 5.0, and the Key Citation Score went from 15 to 64.
The growth came from treating the profile as a record of real work: services that match actual jobs, posts and check-ins from real jobs across the South Bay, videos from job sites, and a steady flow of reviews. That’s the approach we use for plumbing companies: show Google and homeowners the jobs you actually do, in the cities where you do them.
The campaign is ongoing. Sunnyvale is a crowded market for plumbers, and the profile hasn’t yet held a steady spot in Google’s top-3 map results: it reached them for 4 tracked keywords in May but lost those positions over the summer. Links & Authority is still rated “Poor” in the audit. The next stage of local SEO is building authority and moving the installation keywords into the top 3.
